Review of Dolce & Gabbana Fashion Show - Milan’s Men’s Fashion Week SS012
The truth is that before I even watched the show, I was expecting a lot from Dolce & Gabbana as it is one of the most famous worldwide brands and also one of the most inspiring and elegant menswear designs. Unfortunately this year’s Spring-Summer collection, I have to say it was kind of…boring. Mostly use of earth colors in all of the outfits such as beige, white, grey and black except from the interesting and intricate use of net in every garment and accessory seen on the runway. Furthermore except from the absence of colors which I was expecting as it is Spring-Summer collection and we are sick of wearing black and grey, the designs weren’t something the extraordinary as most of them were casual clothing such as Italian tailored suits, chinos, some tank tops, jackets, sweaters, shirts, shorts and chinos. I have to mention that the shoes were the most interesting accessory as with the touch of the net they looked really unique. Finally the bags and the sunglasses looked really nice but again nothing that made me say “Wow”. Finally I believe that if there wasn’t the presence of net in the clothes to make them look some kind of different the outfits would be very clique and usual.
